Hello!

This is the first post of this blog, but to be honest, this is not my first blog.

As a person who enjoy fiddling tech stuffs, I have tried various ways to build up a blog, from setting up a whole self-hosted WordPress site to building a single page application using React from the ground. I have had some seemingly fancy and rich transitions and layout on the frontend, intriguing deployment pipelines and all sorts of automated magics. I like the process of building them, but never was dedicated to write contents.

I used to be a person who writes diary. When I was in the university, I occasionally wrote posts in a campus-wide visible BBS. There is a board named Diary where people mainly record their day and also exchange their pleasantries. My initial wish of writing those diaries on that Diary board was to express myself, but in the process of writing them, I gradually found taking notes of my life became more of something I want to do, instead of something I do to acquire more attention or exposure.

I liked writing diaries because it forced me slowing down and leaving the time of writing just foy myself. I could utilize that time inspecting myself, reflecting on the actions I have performed recently, and think it again if I could do anything better if there were another chance.

Since I have stepped into my career, I have been engaging with various people non-stop. I have been chasing and pursuing different goals for other people and myself all the time. I am so busy, so busy that I have not spoken to myself so long.

In year 2022, I achieved my dream of returning Thoughtworks University (a graduate training programme in Thoughtworks) as a trainer. Throughout the whole year, I surprisingly found I learned more than I taught. I used to have some superstitions in technologies, but I started to realize that given a fixed situation, there could be many ways to solve one problem, and the technology in most cases can help, but cannot determine. Identifying the core of a problem, going through the problem-solving process, pursuing your initiatives to get the goal is a much harder and more sophisticated world. I always found myself new in this area, and I constantly realize I could do better. I want to take the advantage of this blog, and gain some time to be spent on myself.

In year 2022, I have also worked in an all English-speaking team. I hope to continue to keep the opportunity to use English. I need to practice it, or I will lose my proficiency, as English is not my first language. I hope I am prepared for all opportunities I would like to take, and English is an important part for myself to get prepared.

With these points in mind, this very first post on this blog is coming to the end with the classic dialogue of the techies:

Hello World!
